Some 331,000 customers were left without electricity at one point after fierce winds uprooted trees and disrupted power supplies in some parts of the country, including its central Mazovia region.
The deputy mayor of Wołomin, a suburb of Warsaw, has died after being crushed by a tree branch 10 people were injured.
