Villages in Shropshire and Worcester are facing «danger to life» conditions over worries that flood defences could fail today.
A major incident has been declared in the areas as water levels along the River Severn continue to rise, with flood barriers forecast to go over their capacity during Tuesday, according to the Environment Agency.
Hundreds of flood warnings have been issued around England, particularly around the River Severn around Wharfage, Wribbenhall and Ironbridge.
